Nolly Ceballos – Artistic Director/Choreographer
Nolly Ceballos graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration,
a Bachelor of Physical Education, and a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling.
He specializes in Professional Education, Theater Arts, Creative Production,
Marketing, and Physical Education. Currently, he teaches Health Education and
Dance at Oxon Hill High School, Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Mr. Ceballos is one of the top choreographers in the Philippines.
He is the resident choreographer of the Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG).
His annual Choreographers’ Workshop in Iligan City, Philippines, was cited as
the first and most organized of its kind outside Manila. The intensive workshop
he initiated for choreographers, dance managers, physical education teachers,
and dance enthusiasts produced leaders in the performing arts. He taught dance
classes for young children from 1989 to 2001, and he directed more than ten
dance recitals. His choreography with IPAG was highly acclaimed by critics
in the Philippines and in other countries as the group represents the Philippines
in various dance festivals in Europe, Asia, and the United States. His Tales
from Mindanao choreography won a Grand Prize in “Concourse de Chanson Internationaux”
13th International Folkloric Festival, Port Sur Saone, France, in 2002. His Abduction
of Princess Lawanen and Pangalay choreographies were featured at the Dance Festival
“Asia Legends” at the Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C., in 2006 and 2007,
respectively. His participation in “Asia Legends” for two consecutive years,
received standing ovations and the most enthusiastic applause. Furthermore,
his work How the Women of Joaquin Met Lawanen received excellent reviews as
“…impressively varied choreography...” from the Daily Inquirer.
Mr. Ceballos was commissioned by Migrant Heritage Commission in Washington,
D.C., Nestle Philippines, Inc., and Pfizer, to name a few, as their Cultural
Production Consultant.
Herbie Go - Theatre Instructor
Actor, director and teacher, Herbert Go was the former Artistic Director
of Tanghalang Pilipino (Philippine Theater Company), the resident theater
company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. He graduated cum laude
with a degree in Theater Arts from the University of the Philippines and has
taught directing, improvisation and recital at the Philippine High School for
the Arts for nine years. His directing credits include Filipino
translations/adaptations of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (2006 Best Play –
Philippine Daily Inquirer), The Tempest, Antony and Cleopatra;
Miller’s The Crucible; Ionesco’s Rhinoceros; Giraudoux’s Ondine,
Madwoman of Chaillot; Euripides’s Trojan Women; Pirandello’s It is So!
(If You Think So!); Betti’s The Queen and the Rebels. He is a member
of the Lohan Journey, a group of Asian directors/playwrights organized
by Tokyo’s Setagaya Public Theater to collaborate in major cities in Asia.
Herbert has recently moved to New York and has since worked with the Mayi
Theater Company and the Public Theater in the 365 Days / 365 Plays Festival.
